I'm Moving Out! ... of Blogger

Hey all you loyal reader out there, I am just posing this to let you know that I am packing my virtual bags and heading for tmblr.com where I will start a nice shiny new blog... wait I've already started it, you can check it out here. Yeah, I like the layout more on that site, and guess what? I've already got one follower ha ha the water's warm boys and girls so come on in! (did that make any sense... I don't know it's very late). Anyways, yeah it has pretty much the same options as this place (actually a little less as far as what you can do with the text [centering it and numbering etc]) however, when composing a blog, it is a lot more like using word instead of this clunky typing program. Also my domain name is a lot easier to do (i.e. no - in between every single word).

If you would like to see my new blog loyal reader (you know who you are [by the way lets go get some dinner sometime cutie {kiss kiss}]) just come on over to lukeryanblog.tumblr.com

Hope to see you there, and also I love you all more then anything that I am currently holding in my hands!

Science and Other Things

Have I ever told you that I really like science?  No, I really do, I think that science is one of the coolest things you can study.  There is only one draw-back to it.  To me, science is that one way cool kid that is rich and has a huge house that you party at every weekend.  Everyone is invited, and a hot chick is given to every guy at the door.  After going to a few of these parties, you really start to like science.  You start to hang out with him regularly.  You have finally found your crew for life, who else would be like, "Hey I can give you the knowledge of how everything in the world works!  I can also show you how to blow it up and call it 'academic'".  That's when science introduces you to his lame obese friends that has a chocolate stain on the neck on every sweat-stained shirt he wears.  This guy is one of the few people in the world who snores when they are awake, and thinks that Ke$ha actually has talent.  This person is named Math... Unfortunately Math saved Science from drowning in the river when they were kids so he is eternally in debt to Math... that's why I stopped going to his parties... and just partying in general.

Anyway... on to other things.  Have you ever noticed that when people are in an argument (not a debate, an 'emotionally invested' argument)  just generally sound stupid?  If you don't know what I'm talking about just read the youtube comments on one of Justin Bieber's video.  It's enough to make me wish that I was illiterate... then I wouldn't have the pressure of actually being a value of society, so it would be totally fine to just write random stuff like this!  An illiterate person who keeps a regular blog has just got to bring in some flow of curiosity traffic.

I had some other stuff to write about, but I need to make a phone call, and do homework because *exasperated sigh*  I am literate, and so I have to "make something of myself".  ... Who am I quoting?

Love you all more then I love spandex (dancers would look 14.5% better if spandex was never invented)

Library Adventures With Hot Girls!

I once heard someone say that the best feeling is getting your homework done yesterday when it is due tomorrow, unfortunately that feeling is a rarity in my life.  I more often write my papers the day after Wednesday when they were due last Monday.  Such a life habit explains my occupation in the library here at BYU for the past four-and-a-half-hours.  Also because of my tendency to wait till the last second to do anything I barely have a paragraph written of my paper.  Naturally the best course of action would be to start on my leisure writing!  I did have a few interesting adventures here in the library... well not so much adventures as they are thoughts that I had, and only interesting compared to the dull void of nothingness my life has become.  Yeah it's not one of those cool voids, it's the one of the boring ones... you know what I'm talking bout.  Anyway, I can’t say that I feel too guilty about using this as a way to avoid the inevitable for an extra hour or so.  It is so much better then what I was stalling with before (youtube videos and reading the blogs of a pessimist in denial [a realist]).  That person’s blogs did have a satirical voice to them that I did enjoy immensely, that is the type of writing style that I want to shoot for most of the time.

<Going into my first tangent>  That is the main problem with me; I love to write, but only for selfish purposes.  I hate being told what to write and how to write it.  Thus the deferment on the English paper that I should be doing.  I hate writing when it is something I don’t care about, and I dislike taking myself out of the text.  I would never make a good journalist, academic, philosopher, lawyer, or English teacher.  This all goes into my main reasoning for not going into an English major since that would require ages and ages of tedious argumentative essays, potentially hundreds of dollars in printing costs, and frankly I don’t think the O-zone could handle all of the methane gas released from the piles of BS that go into papers that I have a general lack of interest in.  I spent so long trying to will myself to do this assignment that my computer got down to six percent battery life.

The reason it got so low is because the library is so crowded with finals coming up that it has come close to impossible to find a seat with a plug (especially with my standards).  I mentioned in an earlier blog about the specifics of the place I need to study, and I actually had to sacrifice a window and privacy to get my powered chair.  Still I got my own table which is something I am not willing to compensate on unless on the off chance that I go to study with someone.  It’s not that I don’t like people, it’s just that I don’t want to upset all the women when I tell them that I am a Pre-RM, and so I am not a potential eternal companion (this is Breed’em Young University after all).  I mean, once I get back... with my face... and my body.... and my ... upper body, how could anyone resist? Communists, that’s who.  Fortunately I am a theoretical Communist and so I am impervious to their use of Omiti against me.

I used to almost feel guilty about bringing my Macbook Pro to the library, because it is one of the more expensive laptops out there (pre-built), but I feel better seeing three others in my line of sight.  I do have the extra-large screen though, and I brought my wireless mouse so I feel a little bit like one of those prep douches (pardon my French).  Track pads are the most prevalent sign of Satan’s spawn since Jack A** became a television show.  (WHY IS IT SOO HILARIOUS?!?!?!)  I can take some solace in knowing that I didn’t bring a mouse pad with me.

Whilst on my search for my seat in which to study, my mind wandered just on how many books are contained here in this one building.  I have heard that BYU’s library is only behind Harvard as far as quality of college libraries go.  It boggles my mind that there is so much stuff in the world.  Not only natural things like oceans and prairies and all that, but so much man made stuff.  Is it possible that these many books are necessary?  I would not be surprised if there were around 10 million books in this library... maybe not that much, but no man can really make sense of a number so high.  I would also not be surprised to hear that a good chunk of books here, even a majority of them have not been used.  Maybe pulled out for a few sentences to use in a reference paper, but... man!  I wonder what is in all of these books.  How could there be that much stuff in the world that you could write hundreds of millions of pages on single topics.  Then there is this thing... close to three pages of solid crap.  It’s really humbling.

Well, I covered all the notes of things that I wanted to write about, except for one thing I jotted down:  The urinals in the library bathrooms use way more water then is necessary for a thing that just takes pee.  I don’t feel like that would make a good concluding paragraph it would just leave you feeling like you need to take a shower or something.  Aight I actually have to work now, I will be in touch with you later... and did I forget to do my review on 127 hours?  I can’t remember if that was an assignment for this weekend or last, at any rate, I won’t be doing that, since I have read several bloggers that do movie reviews.  Even the well written ones were not very interesting.  I do like reading stuff like this, mostly because it reminds me of me and I can’t get enough of myself.  So I hope to write things that have some sort of entertainment value, and maybe get into some fiction writing when my workload becomes less insane.

Love you all more then Walt loved the eighth dwarf! (he was the mentally challenged one that was left out of the movie because he made people feel uncomfortable... I am a horrible person)

Here is a great picture of Keira Knightly I found... yeah I liked it too.

Alive and Well

Hey ya'll, just wanted to let you know that I haven't given up on this blog-a-mahoozle, but I am experiencing the true full ugly face of finals, and I have work, and AHHH just stress to deal with.

I put a Youtube video up a few days ago, go check it out, I'll put the link down here... if I can.  Aight, I'll do a review on the movie 127 hours next post.  I'll try to have it up by... next weekend, so be on the lookout for that.

I love you more than a can of pork and beans! (delicious)
