Maybe I should think before I write

Wholly and holey cow! I mean really shoot a christened cow in India and that's about how flabbergasted I am!

About what Luke?

Well about this stats thing on Blogspot. Did you know you can see how many times people are looking at your posts and where they come from and how they got to your site?  Even What browser and OS they were using?

Well duh... don't tell me you just figured this out...

Oh... people know about that... oh.   Well anyway, it seems people do bother to read my crap after all!  I have gotten 161 hits on this blog (before anyone can shoot me down, my own "hits" are not counted otherwise it'd be like 161,000).  Most of those come from the US, but I got 5 from Singapore, which means five people have accidentally clicked on my site when they actually meant to look for something else, or (what I hope) one guy has actually come back four times after accidentally clicking on to it!  Then I got a few from Germany, but that might me Malte or Stefan, both cool dudes.  Most importantly, one from my favorite country, all the way from the motherland herself, that's right Russia!

35% of you use Firefox (as do I), and 29% of you use Safari (but I forgive you anyway).  53% of you use Windows which kinda means I shouldn't bash them if I don't want to alienate most of my audience.  28% of you use some type of apple OS (Mac, iphone, ipod).  What surprised me is 7% of you use Linux... I didn't think I knew anyone smart enough to use Linux... and if you are why in the heck are you reading this?

Then my most viewed post seems to be "Library Adventures With Hot Girls"  Which explains the tile of this.  So I guess I'll just have to put up racy titles to get people interested.  I guess the excitement of goiter oil has worn off... (what are you even talking about?).

The overwhelming majority of you come to this site either via facebook, or just typing in the url or something.  Though there is one person who I found me through some site that... well lets just say that I have never been there and don't plan on going there... ever, but I'll take readers where I can get them.  (I'm already a sellout.... probably going to be ads on my blog next week)

If you bothered to read this far, CONGRADULATIONS!!! I love you the best you know... always have, thanks for giving me your personal information.  Enjoy this picture:

I know what you are thinking

Right now you are thinking, "Woah! Luke is back on Blogger! YES! Now life is good again."  Yeah shut up I know you love me.  Anyway, I did some thinking, and with a little convincing from a friend I was hanging out with tonight, Travis (I love you man), I decided to put my Tumblr posts on here.  I still hate the typing program for this site (I don't know why honestly), but I have decided to still write on Tumblr, but to copy past things over here.  This decision was also influenced by the realization that even though I only have one follower, I get more traffic onto this site then any other (like 14 a post as opposed to maybe one on tumblr).  Then I decided, "What the heck! I have a wordpress too, so I'll copy past it on to there too.".  So I potentially have a much bigger audience to write to as opposed to just one site.  I was never really satisfied with just one site anyway.  They may eventually branch off into different things, but for now they are just a way to read the same crap on three different URLs.

P.S. I really wish I could change the URL for this... ze-french-xman.blgoakhtla... .com is just a pain to write.  I looked to see if I could do it, but didn't find anything, HOWEVER, I am pretty retarted when it comes to computers... my solution to a virus is washing my computer with soap... I thought you scanned images by placing them on the screen of your computer...  All this is trying to say is if you know a way, please let me know.

Love you all more then this bottle of Lenninaide soda I just had.  It's a taste worth standing in line for!

If I Wasn’t Mormon… and other things

AH!!! Luke! You are a Mormon!?!?! Those weird people who live in the Utah desert and breed like rabbits? No, that is not true, Mormons live all over the world now, not just in the Utah desert. Yes I am LDS (Latter Day Saint, or Mormon for those of you who are less educated about us). I’m not here to talk about whether Mormonism is right or wrong, please don’t hate me for being one (if somebody accidentally ends up reading this), however, I would like to dispute a few rumors about us. No we do not practice polygamy anymore, and asking a Mormon how many wives he has is like asking a Catholic how many infidels they sent to the inquisition this year, it was a part of our history, but we abolished it. Also, our horns really aren’t noticeable, and most of us get them removed now days so … yeah, we don’t like to talk about that.
What this post is supposed to be about is what I would be like if I was not Mormon, and I’ll put some other thoughts after if I feel like it, but I probably won’t because I’m not on my own computer right now and this keyboard sux!
I often think about what my life would be like if I did not belong to the church. Usually a couple times… an hour. There are some things that I would be unsure if I would be different on, but there are a few things I know would be very different in my life.
The thing I am most sure about it that I would be addicted to coffee. I don’t drink it because it is against our teachings (which I am honestly not sure why that is [if it’s the whole “it’s addictive” thing, then why do we not ban energy drinks and video games? If it’s the “it’s bad for your body” then why don’t we ban McDonald’s?]), but I will admit I have had it a couple times. My grandparents on my dad’s side are not LDS and drink buku amounts of coffee, and they try to get me to come over to the dark side and have some with them, and I have. It is nectar of the Gods people, unfortunately the one God that actually exists says it is no bueno, so I can’t have it, but oh just the thought of that goodness is making me drool.
One thing that I am pretty sure of that would be different about me is that I would be terrified of death, right now I don’t want to die, but it’s not a pressing matter on my mind. If I didn’t have my religion, I would be pissing myself right now. That also leads me to think that I would be in much better shape if I wasn’t Mormon since I’d want to live as long as I could and be as healthy I could be. Though there is the possibility that I would be so interested in what happens after you die that I would be too distracted to be scared.
I wonder if I wasn’t borne into a church (not necessarily THE church) if I would “find religion”. I don’t think that I would, honestly, I would either be Buddhist in the sense of finding enlightenment within yourself, or atheist. I have come to accept the church and I wholly believe that it is true, but I had a hard time getting to that belief. I don’t know, this one it kind of hard to explain over text.
I know some things would not change whether I was Mormon or not, I still would not drink. Drinking is horrible for your insides, makes you fat, makes you act like an idiot, it tastes like somebody vomited a loaf of bread into a glass (nice imaging Luke), smells worse, and it is hella expensive. I hate drunk driving, and I hate how alcohol makes some nice people scary, and you can have just as much fun without it. I would not smoke or do any drugs, also because it’s horrible for your insides, it stinks more than alcohol, it makes you ugly, and it is also hella expensive.
I would still be nice to people in general and have hope for common man. I believe that people are good usually, but it is power that corrupts and whatnot (ooo, now I am a Mormon with liberal political views! Is that possible?) I thought this to be true before they brainwashed me in church, that it is just better to be good to other people, and holding a grudge is just wasting energy on something negative, it’s like trying to fill a black hole, it is useless, so what do you do? You first find out how you found and got to a black hole in the first place, and then you get out of there!
Lastly something that people might find strange, but I am confident this would be the same about me if I were not Mormon, I would still practice abstinence. I know, weird right, even if I was an atheist I would. Partially because of the fear of getting a nasty hitchhiker afterward, and partially because I am and would be a big believer in… the unique bond that humans can make between each other in marriage.
Anyway, sorry, but like I said earlier, I am not on my own computer and the guy I chloroformed borrowed it from is starting to wake up want it back. Plus this PC keyboard is killing my fingers that have been pampered on those sissy Mac keys.

Finding an Old Friend

I just recently found my old story idea book (by recently I mean just now), and I read through the short stories I’d written, and a couple novel ideas. There are only a few in here, and I wrote them a while back, during that whole high school thing that I went to for a few years. Anyway, some of these aren’t bad, they could definitely use a lot of refining though. Just thought I should tell you because I might post a couple of them to here.

Ending on a completely unrelated note, I am really getting sick of ipods. iTunes has so many stupid restrictions, and ARGH! I’ve gone without sleep for too long, so I’m having trouble keeping a clear line of thought. I really am considering getting a Zune, mostly because they have radio on them (I love radio) and they have this thing called the Zune Pass where you can get unlimited downloads for $14.99 a month, and you get to keep ten of them forever each month, so I think it’s a pretty good deal. The only problem is I have an ipod, and a Mac laptop… can you have a zune and a Mac? Since it’s Microsoft, I doubt they would allow that. Please let me know if you know in a comment or whatever.
What do you guys think of the zune pass? I personally would like it because I really like indie rock, and honestly there is a lot of indie rock that sucks, so I don’t want to buy a CD of a band that I think has potential only to find out that they only have one decent song.

Last thing, did Tumblr get rid of the option to link things or did I just get retarted since I last posted because I have links in my last post, and I wanted to make some here too. I say if they got rid of that option, I think I’ll go back to Wordpress or shudder blogger.

Anyway … I used “I say”? Really? What am I some pompous brit? See you next time… Maybe… Unless I switch the site of my blog… again.
